Right now, my junior interactive design studio is in the process of paper prototyping. Paper prototyping is very useful in building a website because it is where you build your ideas, catch flaws, or change directions. The process is cheap, and you can write on the paper if you want to add or delete something.

Below is a set of prototypes I had done. I changed my directions so many times, that it took so long to get it done. I would have it in a way that works for one page, but not in the others. I kept moving things around and changing the color schemes.

This is the homepage

this is a secondary page

Famous actors cast to play some of the great graphic designers. I thought it was kinda cool and funny. Check it here http://www.designobserver.com/archives/031914.html#more

Whenever I get stuck on a project I am working on, I like to look at magazines to get some inspiration. I think skimming through magazines helps me get through a project. I like to look at techniques, color scheme, typography, graphics, and all that good stuff. Im currently subscribing from Communication Arts, and I think the magazine had a lot to offer. They have articles about current design news in the world that are very informative. Below are a list of I think are good magazines. Print MagazineHow MagazineCommunication ArtsCMYK Magazine to name a few

When creating a project, it is very hard to find a very good photo or illustration to capture the essence of the project. Here are some websites that can solve that problem. www.istockphoto.comwww.shutterstock.comwww.veer.com.

I definitely agree that design is lost in some websites out there.  Users can easily manipulate what is on the page.  ”if we give people what they say they want, they’ll never get what we know they need.” I think this statement is very true. When he talked about this part, I thought about MYSPACE right away. I don’t have myspace because of the horrible profiles that people create. You can barely read the information and some can blind you. I think that there are designers in the world to keep things in the web tight and controlled. I think that users should not be allowed to change anything in the web. I think that Facebook is a great example. The format stays the same but the content can be change by users.
